Patti Sakurai
AIR
Patti Sakurai lives in Portland, Oregon, where she is a student at the Northwest Film Center. She also teaches Ethnic Studies at Oregon State University and is a member of the production collective for APA Compass, an Asian Pacific American public affairs program on KBOO 90.7 FM community radio in Portland.
Christine Shin
JANIE
Born in Korea, Christine moved to the United States by herself at the age of 16 to follow her dream as a filmmaker. She received her M.F.A. degree in Production from USC School of Cinema & TV. She was one of the ten national finalists for 2004 Coca Cola Refreshing Filmmaker's Award Contest. Her next film, Journey, has received Best Actress Award from 2004 Hollywood DV Festival and screened at various festivals. She was an Honoree for 2005 Project Involve (IFP/LA).
Keith Sicat
RIGODON
Sicat was a painter and photographer before he became a filmmaker. He has exhibited in various group shows and solo exhibits. His films, Introspectres, The Trickle Down Effect, Solo Cadenza, and Third Party have screened at several international venues. In the meantime, Sicat has been working as an editor of verité-style long-format documentaries. He is currently writing and developing new feature-length scripts.

Ricky Sim from diverse Flushing, Queens, uses film to tell the untold stories of the challenges that minorities face and to help people better understand each others' background and perspectives.
Kim Spurlock
MICHELOB LIGHT COMPETITION: GNOSSIENE
Kim Spurlock traces her roots back to Vietnam and Appalachia. She is a forth-year graduate film student at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Before coming to NYU, Kim studied Anthropology in Nashville, Tennessee, worked as a bicycle courier in Washington, DC and learned Bulgarian in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Chrysovalantis Stamelos
VICTORY
Chrysovalantis Stamelos was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1980. Growing up in a First-Generation American household, he furthered his education at the school of S.I. Newhouse, Syracuse University. With his degree in Television, Radio, and Film, Chrysovalantis moved to New York City, and is now a Production Assistant at MTV Networks. Chrysovalantis is also Co-Founder of Crescent Street Films.
Aaron Stewart-Ahn

Aaron Stewart-Ahn was born in Monterey, California. He attended college in Ireland and studied filmmaking in the UK. Upon returning to the US he worked in feature animation and shooting musicians in documentary form. Most recently he conceived, produced, and directed for the Death Cab for Cutie video anthology "Directions."
Calvin Sun
ISLANDS
Calvin Sun, a New York City native, is a freelance production assistant and a regular host of MTV U's prime-time show, "The Freshmen." Calvin now attends Columbia University in the City of New York, where he is the vice president of the Asian American Alliance as well as the co-founder and current co-director of Columbia University's very first National Undergraduate Film Festival.
Sandhya Suri
I FOR INDIA
Sandhya received a scholarship to study documentary at The National Film and Television School, United Kingdom. Her graduation film "SAFAR" was shown at a number of international film festivals, receiving the Jury's special mention at Cinema du Reel and the award for Best Short Film at the British Film Institute's Imagine Asia festival. Currently based in London, she has worked on documentary projects in Africa, South America and Polynesia.
Mitsuru Tamatsuka
FIREWATER
An amateur dancer, Tamatsuka's passion for traditional Japanese dance led him to join Meiji-za, the 110 year-old theatre/production company in Tokyo in 1996. In 2001 he produced the acclaimed "The Young Lions of Traditional Performing Arts", a collaborative showcase featuring some of the top young artists in the field. Meiji-za is currently studying film and theatre production in New York.

ZuoBin Tang, MA candidate in Higher Education at Teachers College is interested in exploring multicultural issues that affect young adults today.

ALL ABOUT AH LONG
A powerhouse of the Hong Kong movie scene, To has directed in a dizzying variety of genres, from tender romance (ALL ABOUT AH LONG) to martial arts epics. His crime movies, such as THE MISSION, are often considered his best work. This augurs well for competition entry ELECTION, which follows deadly ructions within Hong Kong's oldest triad society.
Ham Tran
JOURNEY FROM THE FALL
Born in Saigon, Ham Tran recently graduated from UCLA with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film and Television. His short films have won numerous accolades including the title of National Finalist for the Student Academy Awards(r) for two years in a row for his short films, The Prescription and Pomegranate. Tran's thesis film The Anniversary won the prestigious USA Film Festival award for Best Short Film.

Long Tran, after participating in the DCTV-CUNY Honors College workshop, aspires to open the hearts and ears of those who are quick to judge to bring a positive change, through the beauty of the film production process.
Koichiro Tsujikawa
Music Video: TONE TWILIGHT ZONE - Cornelius
Tsujikawa started his career by designing record covers amongst other things in 1993, and moved onto directing visuals after dabbling in stage production for live performances. His outstanding works include promotional videos for Cornelius, Fumiya Fujii, and UA, and commercials for the Parco 2002 campaign. The Cornelius PV "DROP - Do It Again" directed by Tsujikawa won the Audience Choice Award for a Music Video at the global digital film festival "Resfest".
Lillian Wang
SHOUT
Lillian Wang was born and raised in Singapore. After earning her degree in law, she become a sitcom writer at Mediacorp Studios where she wrote for numerous television shows, including the winners for Best Comedy at the Asia TV Awards for three years running (1997 - 2000). She then entered the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television to pursue film directing and obtained an MFA degree in 2005. Her short films have won her a number of production awards and grants, including the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Award.

Lusheena Warner, after personally experiencing the destructive effects of media-influenced homophobia, is now creating her own media to enlighten and engage audiences on this subject.
Robert C.Winn
GRASSROOTS RISING
Robert C. Winn is an award-winning producer and director of documentaries who explores issues of social justice, immigration, and cultural dislocation. Recent projects as producer/director include SAIGON, SANDMAN and GRASSROOTS RISING. He has also produced short-form documentaries, public service announcements and has edited or associate-produced numerous other projects.
Richard Wong
COLMA: THE MUSICAL
RICHARD WONG is a native of San Francisco, California. He has worked as a video engineer on episodic television, most recently on the Emmy(r) Award-winning comedy Arrested Development. He has served as cinematographer for a slew of short films and pilots and is a 2005 International Cinematographers Guild Film Showcase Award Honoree for his cinematography for the film Surfacing.
Kai Ling Xue
A GIRL NAMED KAI
Kai Ling Xue was born in Hualien, Taiwan and moved to Vancouver in 1997 to pursue her dream of becoming an interdisciplinary artist. Her work explores women's issues, race and sexuality. Her work has been shown at festivals and Biennales in Asia, Europe, the US and Canada.
