The annual Screenplay competition takes place every spring where five finalists are chosen by readers and a final winner chosen by a panel of judges. This year's finalists included: GRACIE MAKES A MOVIE by Fatimah Tobing Rony; FIRST UNDER HEAVEN by Ellwyn Kauffman, FEASTING ON A AUGUST MOON by Nhien Nguyen; FLIPSIDE by Apollo G. Villa-Real and Larry Ridlen.

Created by artist and philanthropist Jerome Hill (1905-1972), The Jerome Foundation makes grants to support the creation and production of new works by emerging artists living in Minnesota and New York City. The Jerome Foundation supports programs in dance, literature, media arts, music, theater, performance art, the visual arts, multi-disciplinary work and arts criticism. It also provides financial assistance to nonprofit, tax-exempt arts organizations that support emerging creative artists who are residents of Minnesota and New York City.

Award-winning filmmaker Greg Pak (ROBOT STORIES) screens AMONG OUR KIN by Pearl J. Park and leads a discussion on the process of molding a works-in-progress into final cuts. Held during the Media Coalition Networking Salon at Tribeca Cinemas.
AMONG OUR KIN is a documentary that follows 3 Asian Americans living with a mental illness. As the first doc about psychiatric issues, in AA communities, it provides an intimate portrait of the experience.
